Monumental MKO

Located in the MKO Abiola Garden at Ojota – Lagos, the MKO monument was moulded in memory of a man whom the people of Lagos see as a political hero. He is the Late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola. The approximately 9 feet 8 inches work of art was done in bronze and mounted on a concrete block with marble finish by a Nigerian Sculptor, Bunmi Babatunde. This monument reminds Nigerians of a man who was said to have laid down his life for good governance in Nigeria.

And more for me is the fact that I simply love the work of art and it’s identity as one of Lagos’ famous artifacts.
